Looking back now, I can’t believe how far we’ve been able to come, sharing the Bible with viewers, encouraging people, and having a few laughs along the way, all in only the last 6 months!
They say the first year can be a real grind, and in some ways, it’s hard to see some videos where a lot of work has been put in, not get the hoped response, but I’ve only felt encouraged by those who have seen it.
Throughout this whole time, I’ve followed the logic that, for me at least, the reason I am uploading videos is partly just because it is a fun hobby to do, but mainly to encourage those who stumble upon them, wherever people are in their faith, even to just that one person, I want to be able to encourage them in their faith, give them the gospel, a bit of Bible teaching, and an easy to watch video along the way.
Looking back on some of my first videos, I’ve started to notice how maybe ‘awkward’ I looked and acted, and although I haven’t perfected this yet, I’ve definitely grown and learned from it in a big way!
One of the highlights for me has been hearing comments about how “this video really helped”, informing people, or encouraging them in a hard time, and again, even for that one person, it makes me feel like it’s all worth it.
One of the least popular videos I ever uploaded was a summer update from a while back, with basically me saying about how I’d been so busy – ironic really!
One of the most popular videos I uploaded in this time on the other hand was quite recent discussing about Bible Translations – a personal favourite topic of mine!
Here’s to the next 6 months anyway, I have plenty of ideas, but most of the problem is in the execution, physically finding the time to film & edit them!
